The internship is focused on mastering smart advanced skills in engineering and planning urban green areas with a particular focus on the sustainable use of the green-blue infrastructures and water management
Introduction to urban ecology Monitoring, modelling and management of urban green infrastructures
The participants will be involved in design and development of the landscaping projects in urban and semi-natural areas with a particular focus on functional and landscape zoning, water management and drainage systems. The training will involve: - collecting, processing and analysis of environmental data collected at the pre-project stage; - data processing and spatial analysis of land suitability for particular land-use types and functional zones; - developing master plans of green-blue infrastructure; - design and estimating of the sustainable urban drainage systems
Due to COVID limitations, the internship is considered both in online or offline formats considering the limitations existing by the call announcement. Professional lecture and master classes (the 1st week) will
be followed by practical work on one or several projects ongoing in the Smart Urban Nature center. Coordination will include daily instructions and up-dates on the tasks and progress. The final assignment will be based on the project presentation.
