Biogeochemistry of Agroecosystems
The target of our division is the quantification of element fluxes at the interface soil-plant-microorganism and the identification of their controlling factors. We focus on multidirectional carbon, nutrient and water fluxes from the ecosystem scale down to the metabolic fluxes in individual groups of the microbial community. The scale-briding approach of our division can be summarized as FLUXOMICS.
Especially, our institute is interested in multidirectional carbon, nutrient and water fluxes in interaction between cities and their rural surroundings.
